Agent Skills
Teach your coding agent to build admin panels with StellarAdmin
StellarAdmin ships two skills for agents such as Claude Code and Codex:
- stellar-admin-setup installs the panel in your app: packages,
AddStellarAdmin,MapStellarAdmin, and checks that it works. It asks you about resources, authorization and branding instead of guessing. - stellar-admin builds the panel: resources, index pages, forms, editors, relationships, the sidebar, authorization and view overrides.
They're installed with Vercel's skills installer. The source is in the StellarAdmin repository.
Installation
With Node.js and Git installed, run this in your app's project directory:
npx skills add stellar-admin/stellar-admin --skill stellar-admin-setup
npx skills add stellar-admin/stellar-admin --skill stellar-adminPick your agent in the installer, or name it with --agent claude-code or --agent codex. Add --global to make the skills available in all your projects. Then start a fresh agent session.
Keep the --skill option: the repository also contains internal skills used to build StellarAdmin itself.
This installs guidance for your agent. It doesn't install the NuGet packages or change your app.
Using them
Ask your agent to install the panel:
Use the stellar-admin-setup skill to add StellarAdmin to this app.
Then build it out:
Add bookings to the admin panel, with search on the reference and Pending and Confirmed tabs.
For your own pages that use sa-* components, add stellar-admin-ui. For theme files, add stellar-admin-theme. Both are described in the StellarAdmin.UI agent skills docs.
Versions
The skills follow the repository's default branch, so they can describe features newer than the packages you have installed. They tell the agent to check your installed version first. Updating a skill doesn't update your packages.
